Summary
We are seeking a well-organized and passionate Executive Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the activities of the President. The President is responsible for business development, estimates, invoicing approvals, and financials. You will also be responsible for managing efficient operation of the office.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3 years’ experience with proven hands-on involvement with planning and prepare estimates.

Responsibilities
● Assists the President with estimating, planning and preparing projects
● Prepare expense reports, reconcile receipts to projects
● Supports the coordination and facilitation of presentations, meetings and conference calls by compiling and preparing information packages
● Understands unspoken needs by anticipating business requirements and takes initiative
● Respects tight deadlines and sensitive information
● Manages incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries
● Ensures smooth operation of the office by liaising with vendors and managing the office supplies
● Coordinate phone and email meeting inquiries, scheduling appointments and conference rooms, setting up for meetings and coordinating meals/refreshments
● Undertakes special project assignments as assigned

Education
● Post-secondary education in Business or Administration or a related field
● High School Diploma (or equivalent)

Qualifications
● Three plus years administrative support or executive assistance
● Proven experience planning and preparing estimates
● Previous experience working in a media and marketing environment (a plus)
● Bilingual in French (a plus)

Skills
● Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to maintain effective working relationships with all levels of staff and clients
● Ability to plan, organize and manage work with minimal supervision
● Ability to handle multiple projects and prioritize work in a busy environment
● Advanced proficiency in G Suite (Google products for documents, sheets, etc.)
● Ability to maintain sensitive information and exhibit tact, diplomacy, and good judgment with high standards of ethics and confidentiality

To succeed in this position, you must be well organized and extremely flexible. You must enjoy working with numbers to succeed in the art and science of estimating. You are able to handle high volumes of work and requests in a fast-paced environment. Professionalism and discretion are essential in this role. Strong written and verbal communication skills, decision-making ability and attention to detail are equally important. Proficiency with technology is a must.

MediaFace is looking for an experienced, passionate and talented WordPress Developer to join our growing team in Toronto’s Leslieville.

In this part-time, permanent position, you’ll work with a variety of clients to exercise your three to five years of experience in: WordPress, WordPress Plugins, PHP, JavaScript, jQuery, CSS3, HTML5 and Responsive UX/UI design.

Primary Responsibilities:
● Development and customization of WordPress sites using custom or template themes
● PHP application development, writing custom theme functionality
● Integration of content into WordPress themes
● Front-end interface development of WordPress themes using HTML/CSS/PHP and JavaScript
● WordPress plugin integration and development

Initial Skills and Qualifications:
● Three to five years experience working with WordPress, PHP, HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript developing accessible sites (AODA – WCAG 2.0 AA)
● Comfortable with MySQL and the architecture of the WordPress database
● Experience developing custom WordPress themes or plugins using PHP
● Excellent communication and collaboration skills, especially with design teams
● An eye for good design and clean user interfaces
● Self-directed and able to manage your time effectively
● An entrepreneurial spirit with a predisposition to showing initiative
● Knowledge of best practices regarding client management during the web development process

Bonus
● Skilled in AJAX or other languages such as Ruby on Rails or Python
● Experience with Advanced Custom Fields (ACF)
● Familiarity with creating and modifying Custom Queries in WordPress
● Advanced knowledge of MySQL or other Databases
● Fundamental understanding of SEO
● Experience with mobile application development, either in iOS or Android
● An interest in education, health or safety
● Adaptable and willing to take on new and emerging roles
● Knowledge of designing for accessibility in communication (AODA – WCAG 2.0 AA)
● French-language skills
