Graphic Designer

MediaFace is a leader in developing smart, creative and compelling content. Our solid roots in journalism help us develop quality stories that educate, illuminate and inspire – creating brand love for our clients. We’re passionate about the work we do because it matters. We’re a nimble team of 13 made up of journalists, copywriters, videographers, editors, illustrators, designers and project managers.

If you’re a storyteller at heart, highly creative and dedicated to improving your craft, you may want to read on.

You have the ability to articulate your vision well, and then use a range of skills to give it life.

You’ll be able to go from concept development, to design and production. You’ll work as part of a design team joining two other designers. This is a fast paced environment where you’ll really get to show off your design craft. The majority of the work is designing for pixels and a tiny bit for paper (80/20). Through your experience, you’re able to walk the line between creativity and client care.

⊙  Required

  • A degree or diploma in Graphic Design, Media Arts or similar fields
  • Strong eye for design
  • Must have two to three years of relevant experience
  • Intermediate to advanced level in Adobe Creative Suite including InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Adobe Acrobat
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to build positive and supportive relationships with all colleagues, enabling you to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with competing deadlines

⊙  Desired Skills and Experience

  • After Effects
  • Web development (front or back-end)
  • Knowledge of designing for accessibility in communication (AODA – WCAG 2.0 AA)

Content Creator – Bilingual (French/English)

MediaFace helps companies develop smart media content. Think of us as a newsroom with all the tools to produce engaging videos, podcasts, animation and text stories. We work in both of Canada’s official languages.

We need a storyteller who wants a dynamic position producing stories including mini-docs, features and reporter-style pieces for our clients. You will develop and edit original content. The job also includes facilitating online webinars and web conferences through Adobe Connect (training provided).

In this creative role, you’ll be involved from the idea phase all the way to delivery and amplification. This is a position for a multi-tasker who thrives within a team and enjoys working with clients. The ideal person will have the right balance of quality and quickness.

⊙  Initial Skills and Qualifications

You have a post-secondary degree or diploma in media, communication or journalism. You must be able to work with ease communicating with francophone clients.

We’re searching for a Producer/Reporter to join our team. We need a storyteller who wants a dynamic position producing stories including mini-docs, features and reporter-style pieces for our clients. In this creative role, you’ll be involved from the idea phase all the way to delivery and amplification. This is a position for a multi-tasker who thrives within a team and enjoys working with clients. The ideal person will have the right balance of quality and quickness.
